Bitter Sweet Goodbye...but not Forever

Audience in Hamburg
Dear readers,
thank you for following our great journey on this tour. It has been full of emotions, mixed with happiness, sadness and everything between. Every time people back home ask how was the tour, it is hard to explain. You really need to be on tour to know what's this like, I can't explain it. The best way I can try to explain is that tour-life is mixture of different happenings, feelings, new and old faces, work and fun. During this tour I realized that  there's
no point riding everyday this blog because some days were the same in different venue and nothing out of normal happened.

In the beginning of this tour the two weeks felt like we've been on tour forever but the last three weeks just flew by. Like I said before, the wormhole sucks you in and you will lose the track of time and place. That's actually one of the best things on tour. Care free of normal life and enjoy the ride. It's been such a pleasure to meet new people as Sabaton crew, Delain, the fans and new fans around Europe. Thank you for this tour and hope to see you again soon <3 The biggest thank you to SABATON, I love you guys. It's been great getting to know you better and see how warm and kind hearted guys you are.
After show in Prague - Hannes played drums with Pyry :)

Yesterday was awesome in Hamburg. It was the biggest show on this tour, over 6000 metalheads were having the best heavy metal night with us. I'm so excited for today's show...and the next shows to come....

Goodbye....for now ;)

Touringtouringtouring....!

Italy, Milano/Alcatraz

Hello people! It's been a hell of a ride supporting Sabaton. the band and the whole crew of this production is awesome and I'm so happy they took us part of this great journey with them. Shows has been good, pretty good and f*n awesome but I have to say Bulgaria is still in my mind of being the craziest crowd on the whole tour. Hope we get there back soon.

I actually went to find some pizza for BB guys as a surprise when I bumped in with Bulgarian metal heads and they took me in their car for the hunt for Pizza. And oh yes! We found a great pizza-kiosk and I bought the biggest pizzas I've ever seen. The first time in Greece was a pleasant visit and the crowd was as crazy as I had heard. Today it was so nice to get back to Germany and rock with the people of Münich. Noch ein bier! The past two nights we've had the pleasure to party with Chris(Sabaton) at our bus and we've had crazy lounge parties.  Hold your hats this tour is getting better and better ;)

The wormhole... 17.-25.1.2015

So this is what really happens on tour: When you get on the tour bus you lose your track of time, date and place. After last update in this blog I got in this wormhole of touring. It's been a lot of fun but still it always surprise me how this touring life gets under your skin time after time.  Sometimes there isn't warm water in showers, no internet connections, no power on the bus when needed, you're not allowed to do your number 2. in the bus's toilet and you can't find a place to laundry. But these all are just things that are normal on tour. The great things will make those things worth it: meeting lot of fans and new people,  Having a show in front of thousands of people, doing what you love, good company(Sabaton , Sabaton crew and Delain) and memories that'll last for life time. Hope we get time to do some kind of DVD out of our adventures.

Today it was amazing show at Budapest and the lovely audience again took us embracing. Hope we get back here soon...now over 800km to Romania, Bucharest...See you there <3

Noch ein bier Ludwigsburg! 16.1.2015

MHP Arena
Today it's going to be 4000 people gathering to enjoy music at MHP Arena. Looking forward to see how people will response to us. I heard that some guys from our label Nuclear Blast is going to be here also. nice to see the people who have been doing work behind the scenes.
There's going to be a huge after party at RockFabrik and everyone that has a ticket to the show are invited. It appeares to be the biggest rock/metal-club I've ever seen. If you're into metal and end up in Ludwigsburg , you should definitely go see that place.
We enjoyed the view of 4000 people at tonight's show for sure and people were screaming "noch ein bier!" through the whole Sabaton show :D Even though I was feeling a bit depressed today it all vanished on stage. the best drug on earth - adrenaline.
why depressed? Well, you can't always be happy and feel good, that's not balance.
Mixed emotions= balance.

Thank you Ludwigsburg!

See you tomorrow Langen <3

Good day in Switzerland! 15.1.2015

Here we are again at Z7! This is going to be the third time for us at this same venue. I love it - you can do your laundry here, good showers, good food.  And beautiful countryside when go outside having a jog. The venue is a very good place for working out during the sound checks so I joined Sabaton's personal trainer and she gave me tips for some yoga.

I got a good feeling about tonight. even some of the guys of Crystal Ball(the band that I made the duet with) are coming to see our show.
Juuso and Janne getting ready for the show
The audience in Z7 was awesome and we had fun through the whole show. Hope we get back here soon.
At first couldn't find our merch desk because it appeared to be outside the venue :D It was nice to meet people again and I remembered why touring is so fun - meeting different people in different countries :)

Paris never fails! 14.1.2015

After having an awesome day off in Paris it was time to get ready for the show at Bataclan. Last time we were having a show in Bataclan was on tour with Sonata Arctica couple of years ago. The audience was great last time so we are excited to see how's the response this time with our new album.
Juuso had an excellent idea of buying some berets and baguette for this evenings event. Just to show how much we love French people. I hope they understand our sense of humor.

Paris never fails! The audience was awesome and going crazy. We had a blast performing to you people again. Unfortunately everything fun has to end in some point and we had to leave straight after Sabaton's show and head to the next place - Switzerland here we come!

We had an awesome party going on in BB/D-bus after starting the engines...

The Day in Paris 13.1.2015

First sight is a big parking lot next to this huge mall. Everybody go to take some groceries and then we continue our way to the centre of Paris. First Thing we do - we take a metro to Eiffel-tower. Finally! Been in Paris two times before and never saw the tower :D On the way to the tower, I went to this street toilet and was wondering why isn't it flushing. Next goes Pyry and the door close behind him. In few minutes he comes out laughing like hell. It seems that the cleaning program of the toilet had started with Pyry in the toilet and sprayed water all over him.

We notice the way up by stairs is much cheaper than elevator so we take it as a good exercise and start climbing up. It isn't so bad - just about 630 steps up.
And it is worth it. Beautiful Paris opens up to us and we have finally been in Eiffel -tower. Hunger starts to bother us and we decide to go eat in a nice restaurant. There is very good food - I  take snails, frog legs and french fries, nam!

We have to complete this evening well, let's go to see Notre Dame!
It is so beautiful - I love architecture in Paris.

Walking hours in Paris streets for the whole day make us hungry - we find some Indian restaurant, the only restaurant that's open and end up eating chicken curry.

On the way to the bus we see a little grocery store and go buy some beer for the rest of the night. As we continue our way back to the bus we tried to take a short cut but end up walking around searching for entering the Parking hall the bus is in. Finally we get in and the guys start drinking beers of victory - no short cuts for us
:D

To be continued...in Bataclan, Paris :)

London, BIG thank you! 12.1.2015

Forum-stage
It's our release day in UK today and we re so excited to see how London response to our new songs. The night before arriving at the London venue(Forum) was pretty tough - We had to wake up in the middle of the night to show passports at the border and then we had to stay up in the ferry until it had arrived at the UK- harbor. Then we got back to the bus and sleep.

At the venue I wake at 1pm and see the venue - It's raining like but that's part of English weather. Then I go inside and see a beautiful old theater stage. Tonight is going to be awesome, I'm sure of it!

And it was for each band! London never fails! The new songs has started to be more and more comfortable to present and show after show feels better and better. Thank you London - love you! Hope we get back here soon :)

We had a blast during Sabaton
show - the guys were drinking beer in their towels :D

It is traveling day tomorrow to France, Paris...Bon Voyage!

Night <3

Yes, yes, yes Tilburg!!! 11.1.2015

Yesterday felt so good that I was having emotional hangover and felt irritated the whole day. But as soon as we got on stage today, every bad feeling and vibe was gone and forgotten. People in Netherlands definitely know how to party! This was the best show and atmosphere so far, hope these kind of shows will be ahead through the tour. Last night guys had fun in the bus lounge upstairs with 10% beer FAXE (this is what they use to drink all the time on tour nowadays). This is what happens when you drink this sh*t :D

See you tomorrow London :P

Oh my...Geiselwind! You ROCK! 10.1.2015

The crowd in Geiselwind
I open the bus door and find myself behind this huge venue. About 5000 people are coming to see the show, very exciting! I thought yesterday went well but oh man today the audience really kicked ass! Thank you Geiselwind :)

During Sabaton the crowd went insane - people were singing along
, yelling, jumping and people were surfing on the audience :D It was amazing sight how crazy people go when good music is played! Well done Sabaton. Hope that kind of response is waiting for Battle beast someday somewhere ;) Now it is time to get some rest and get ready for tomorrow, Good night <3

Let the tour begin: Oberhausen 9.1.2015

Alright! First show at Oberhausen done, release of our new album "Unholy savior" done. We got a good response considering we played some new songs from "Unholy savior" for the first time ever live. It is always nerve braking moment to show people the new stuff. I'm releaved :)

Lucas(our sound master) and Elvis(Sabaton's sound master)
working their ass off :P

Me and Mr. Kapanen
I arrive at the venue and step inside. I wonder where to go for a while but then comes in Joakim(singer of Sabaton) and Pär (Bass player of Sabaton). We hug and chat a bit and go upstairs to see where the backstage.

For my surprise(in a good way) it appears that Frank(tour manager of Accept) is managing Sabaton's tour. Last time we met in the Accept tour, he gave me a nick name - Ms. Beast :D
After couple of hours the beast's arrive with Kapanen (the guy who make our merchandize).

Aaand...so the tour has begun. Five weeks for living under scheduled days, having good company and bus as a home. Love being on a tour again!

Love you - see you people in Geiselwind <3
